SIN: Vicious Cycle

Same Cycle, Same Conclusion
Same Cycle, Same Conclusion
Sin destroys life. The life that God has given us is destroyed by not only by the intent to sin, but by the actual sin itself. Many of us are ensnared in the vicious cycle of actually planning to sin coupled with an ‘insurance policy’ of planning to ask God to forgive us. Then we are bewildered and in complete denial about the reality that we ourselves have created. The vicious cycle causes us to spiral down to a place where hopelessness is our everyday clothing, and where hopelessness lines the room of every place we find ourselves. It is because of sin and the insistence on doing what we desire to do.

If you want your life to come into agreement with God’s will, then you must intentionally forgo sin. Opt out. It is not that any of us are going to ever be perfect on this side of heaven. However, the desire to do what is right and to please God by making a choice against the things that don’t please Him yield a measure of joy and peace that are not otherwise possible.

“Now, O Israel, listen to the statutes and the judgments which I teach you to observe, that you may live, and go in and possess the land which the LORD God of your fathers is giving you.” Deuteronomy 4:1
